These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the e.sacco platform ("the Service"), operated by PledgePay Uganda Limited ("we", "us"), of Bunyonyi Drive, Nakawa, Kampala, Uganda. By creating a workspace or using the Service, the SACCO or organisation you represent ("you") agrees to these Terms.
You must be authorised to act on behalf of your SACCO or organisation, and be at least 18 years old, to create a workspace. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity that happens under your accounts.
The member records, savings, shares, loans and financial data you enter remain yours. We store and process this data only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the lawful collection of your members' personal data and for obtaining any consents required under applicable law.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access other organisations' data, probing or breaching security controls, uploading malicious code, or using the Service for unlawful activity such as fraud or money laundering.
The Service is a record-keeping and management system. Except where an integrated payment provider is expressly enabled, e.sacco does not itself move, hold, or transmit funds. Deposits and repayments recorded in the app (including member-submitted requests) reflect money handled by your SACCO through its own channels; confirming a request records it in your ledger but does not transfer money on your behalf.
We work to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, or remove features. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of significant changes.
Where a plan carries a fee, the applicable price and billing terms are those shown to you at sign-up or in your workspace. The platform may currently be offered free of charge; if that changes, we will give reasonable notice before any fees apply to you.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate a workspace that breaches these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a security or legal risk. On termination we will, where practicable, make your data available for export for a reasonable period.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and our liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
